I usually get anything from 2 to 6 messages every week looking for advice on fishing in the Dingle Peninsula. The lack of information for people is frightening, the problem with something like a Facebook page is usually the posts that go up are with fish or when something interesting happens. In all honesty fishing year at this time of year can be depressing. What do you say to this person? My only answer is to try for sea trout or bass in some of the estuaries.

Things are looking up tho, all the rivers are open again, the sun is starting to shine. The temperature is rising, some big sea trout should be starting to head up all the local rivers around here. The delight of a spring salmon could be on the cards? Bass on the feed again, them cold damp miserable winter days seem to be gone. The ray will be starting to show again in Tralee Bay. Great thing about living here is that you can just throw the rod into the car and head off, if you catch its a bonus!
