Where do we go from here?

Just because you have money doesn't mean you are better off than anyone else. As I was getting a cup of coffee this morning about 8, I could see a few young fellas drifting around the roads, now to a normal person they wouldn't take notice but because of the life I have lived, I recognised the dull faces. The party had ended and the realisation of reality had hit them. The drugs had begun to wear off and now facing the daylight was all a bit too much for them. Go back twenty years ago these young fellas would be getting up to go to church. Today that is laughed at but when you have a kid that has died from addiction or from a life led astray maybe your attitude would change. To have discipline in your life is a grace. Sometimes in today's culture we have a disordered way of looking at humility. A six pack means nothing. Money means nothing. How you carry yourself in the world on a day to day basis means everything. For me I am a pity. I have failed over and over again. I have lost myself down every road you can imagine but what I thank god for is the fact that I went the distance. I didn't do things half arsed. If I was gonna fail, I failed heavy.

Conor Mcgregor, Loss number 2, 2021

I watched a video recently about Sylvester Stallone. I will add it to the end of the blog. He talked about how he wrote the first Rocky movie. He based the whole movie on Christian Morals. How good can outweigh evil in how you live. You see, we may think we live proper, but if you go deep, every single one of us is flawed. For me I had addiction problems but more so than that I was judgemental, egotistical, lustful and in a whole lot of fear. I was afraid of being who I was really meant to be and I still can be. We live in a society today that is so corrupt and damaged its actually frightening, The country of Ireland is a drug den but somehow its kept under the carpet. Every town has brothels, and Ireland is the number one consumer of porn in Europe. The church is laughed at and the priests are afraid to wear their collars on the street. We all living our good life but we walk over each other at every chance we get. Ireland is one of the most in debt countries in the world, to international banks and on a personal level. Suicide is common place and we are not a republic anymore, we are a slave to desire and whats in it for me. Mcgregor can come back, I have no doubt but first he needs to realise a few things about himself. We all do. What are my flaws and what is good about me. No matter what we do as Irish people, I do know this, we can be the best people on this planet. That comes from our deep faith which is the strongest in the world. Our Christian value set deep inside of us makes us who we are! Before you condemn anything always do your own research. Look at the virtues, drop your pride, understand what it means to be humble! Understand what it really means to love, tell your parents you love them, say your sorry, give to charity, go back to church because deep down you know you want to. If you using cocaine too much tell someone. Start by admitting your flaws not by how great you are. Stop using people, understand that to be vulnerable is not a weakness but is a foundation to be the best person you can be. Loving, caring and more so than anything else, a decent human being.
