IF you want big fish then maybe you should go to Norway or Russia but if you want an experience come to Ireland. I still think Ireland is the greatest place on earth to fish but maybe im biased! Talk to anglers and hunters that come here, they will tell you, it's the whole experience, the Guinness, the atmosphere, the fresh air! The list goes on and on. One of my favourite pastimes is the read about fish and angling. Here is a list I have compiled of the biggest salmon caught in the last few years!

Statement from the IFI :
Inland Fisheries Ireland can confirm that 40 illegally caught salmon were seized from a vehicle by fisheries officers in Co. Mayo on Friday, 23rd of June 2017. Inland Fisheries Ireland is following a definite line of enquiry and is liaising with An Garda Siochána in relation to the incident. As a result, we cannot provide specific details of the case as it may prejudice any future legal action.
