Loch Neagh Brown Trout being sold in Galway
So in ireland it is illegal to sell game fish! You cannot sell brown trout, sea trout or salmon. That is what we all taught but there is a trout that is netted in lough Neagh in the North and is been sold in the Republic! My question is this are some of these trout Irish or English? How can you prove so. Dollaghan trout are netted by the tonne in lough Neagh irelands biggest lake. These trout spawn in tributaries that run into lough Neagh. Some of these rivers run into the Republic so that would make alot of these trout Irish and should be protected under Irish law! To make matters worse these trout are being sold in Irish fish mongers. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour! We need to save these fish born here in the Republic!
