 Some say Salmon are the king of the river and that may be so but in my opinion Bass is the king of the sea. Here is a list of the biggest Bass caught in Kerry between the years 1990 - 2000.

12.8lb, Ballybunion, North Kerry, 8th May, 1991, Gerald Beasley, Lugworm.

10.4lb, Waterville, South Kerry, 7th June, 1992, Saul Astrinsky (GB), Rapala.

14.8lb, Fenit, North Kerry, 21st August, 1993, William Pell (GB), Mackerel Strip.

11.7lb, Waterville, South Kerry, 24th September, 1994, Henry Lynam, Artificial Eel.

12.8lb, Banna Strand, North Kerry, 10th April, 1995, Anthony Herlihy, Sandeel.
