Corruption between the IFI and Draft net fishermen

 We are the environmental agency responsible for protecting, managing and conserving Ireland's inland fisheries and sea angling resources. That is on the front page of the IFI website, that is their mandate in this country. That is their job and we the stakeholders, especially the rod license holders have a responsibility to tell them when we feel they are not doing that. The IFI is not a business, it's not a money making organisation, it's actually a loss making organisation, the people of Ireland pay their wages. An environmental crime against a protected species in Ireland is committed every single year, when the state body, the IFI, gives licenses to nets men to net a critically endangered fish. The river Maine is below its conservation limit and the state body in charge of protecting the river Maine, are actually involved in the demise of salmon in the river Maine. It's gone beyond ridiculous to say that 32 sea trout went up the river Maine in the whole year. It's blatantly obvious now that Sea Trout are being counted as Salmon and why would they do this. I am calling it as i see it, corruption between the IFI and draft net fishermen. It has to be and I don't care about the consequences of me saying this. How can you have the river Maine counting 1000 spring fish one year when I am fishing every day since the 17th of march and i haven't seen a fish! I am not saying their is no spring fish but 1000 fish was counted on that counter a few years back and I wont rest until someone tells me how can that be even logical never mind fact! If the river Maine closes then the nets have to stop as well. It's very simple the conservation limit has not been met on the river Maine, it needs to close and has to close asap.
